The second of the model homes of the Summerwell development on Mercer Island boasts a floor plan perfect for entertaining and refined selections of luxurious materials. Working within one of the four color and material palettes designed for this particular development by Six Walls, our team created a house that feels welcoming and warm, yet modern and elegant.
Working with the elegant and modern homes of the Summerwell development on Mercer Island is particularly interesting, since the design selections are at times done together with the specific home buyer, and sometimes without a dedicated user like this model home. Drawing from our extensive experience from designing high end homes on Mercer Island, we created a combination of materials and furniture that has a lot of character, yet will appeal to a wide range of people. The goal was to ensure that all spaces are functional and beautiful.
The floor plan flows from the entrance with high ceilings, via the study, the formal dining area and the outdoor living space, into the main kitchen-living area which opens up to a large balcony overlooking the garden.
Given the luminous twilight color palette that was used, it was important to keep in mind the high reflectivity of materials and combination of darker finishes with lighter surfaces in creating a space that feels interesting and dramatic, yet leaves room for buyers to add their personal touch.

We all loved the layout and expansiveness of this house. It will be a great home for people that enjoy entertaining.
