Sitting high above with panoramic views of Puget sound and downtown Seattle, this city glamour kitchen was functioning for the family but needed a little refresher to feel current. The client wanted to make the space feel lighter and brighter while creating a unique space that embraces and displays their love of artistic glass. The brief included keeping the sleek, dark finish existing cabinetry and appliances, with focus on surfaces and lighting. To brighten the space and add dimension and depth we used Escala low iron glass on the counters, water jet cut marble, and shell mosaic on the backsplash. A stunning Ochre Seed Cloud custom chandelier sets off the island and further adds to a glamorous look that is truly one of a kind.
“Working with custom glass counters that are like works of art can be challenging but I love the challenge, as well as the result. I feel so lucky to work with such kind and generous clients who remained understanding and were open to alternate design solutions when the glass counter posed some challenges during installation.”
